Is NaatOps a replacement for Jira?
For most services teams, yes. It has issues, epics, sprints, a board and backlog, reports, roadmaps and Jira import. It also includes test management, an API client and client release reports, which Jira needs add-ons or other tools for.
Do we have to move everything at once?
No. Import one Jira project and run one team's sprints in NaatOps first. You can import the same Jira project again later to bring over anything added since. See Import from Jira or CSV.
Can our client see our board?
No. Invite them with the free Client role and they get a client portal for the projects you share: open work, releases and the conversation, without your board, sprints or team notes. Or send a release report link that needs no login. See Client access and the client portal.
Do clients need an account to open a release report?
No. The link opens without signing in. You choose how long it works and can switch it off at any time.
Can we sign in with Microsoft or Google Workspace?
Not yet. Everyone signs in with their email and password for now.
I forgot my password
Choose Forgot password? on the sign-in page. We email you a link to set a new one. To change a password you know, use Settings › My account › Password. If two-step sign-in is on, you still need a code or a recovery code after the new password.
I lost my phone with the authenticator app
Sign in with your password and one of your recovery codes instead of the 6-digit code. Then go to Settings › My account › Two-step sign-in, turn it off with your password and another recovery code, and set it up again on your new phone. If you have no recovery codes left, ask the workspace owner to contact support.
Can I belong to more than one workspace?
Yes. Accept each invitation with the same email, then switch workspaces from the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar.
What happens when the trial ends?
The workspace moves to Free unless you've chosen a plan. Nothing is deleted. See Plans, billing and invoices.
Can we track time and bill clients by the hour?
Yes. Log time on each issue and mark it billable or not. Timesheets shows the week by person and issue, and Export CSV gives you the hours for an invoice. See Time tracking and timesheets.
Can we track fixed-price projects against their budget?
Yes. Set a fixed fee on the project's Budget tab and cost rates in Settings › Rates. NaatOps burns the budget from logged time, shows the margin and alerts managers at the levels you choose. See Project budgets and rates.
Do you give GST invoices?
Yes. Add your GSTIN in Settings › Billing and it's printed on every invoice.
Can we pay yearly by bank transfer?
Yes, by NEFT or RTGS against a proforma invoice. See Plans, billing and invoices.
Who can see our projects?
Only members of your workspace. Every member can see every project in it, except clients, who see only the projects you share with them. Roles decide who can change things. See Roles and permissions.
Can we take our data out?
Yes, at any time. An owner or admin opens Settings › Workspace and chooses Download export (.zip). You get CSV files for Excel and JSON files with every field. Download attachment files gives a second ZIP with every file attached to issues and docs, in a folder per issue, with a list of what is inside. See Workspace settings.
Is NaatOps up right now?
The status page shows each part of NaatOps (web app, API, database, email and alerts), checked every minute, with 90 days of uptime and any incident or planned maintenance. It also shows when the last nightly backup was taken and when a backup was last restored and checked, which we do every week.
How do you protect our data?
Read the security page: roles, sign-in, how secrets are stored, the audit log, signed CI webhooks, backups and export. The database is backed up every night, encrypted, and a backup is restored and checked every week; the status page shows when each last happened.
Someone left the company. How do we remove them?
An owner or admin opens Settings › Members and removes them. Their access and API tokens stop straight away; their work stays. See Roles and permissions.
Something isn't working
Try reloading the page first. If it still fails, choose Contact support at the bottom of the sidebar (on a phone, under More). Say what you were trying to do and what happened instead. We attach the page you were on, your browser and the last error, so you don't have to.
You get an email with a reference such as NS-4K7Q2. A person reads every message and replies within one working day, usually the same day. To add a screenshot, reply to that email.
Signed out, or the app won't open? Write to [email protected], and check the status page to see whether NaatOps is down for everyone.
When a page crashes, the NaatOps team is told automatically, with the details we need to fix it.
